CTE Park
Anchored in the City of Reno Master Plan, this project enhances recreation along the Truckee River where it’s most needed. The design features an all-abilities walking loop that links seamlessly with existing bikeways and public transit, a covered basketball court designed for all-weather play and community gatherings, and pickleball courts with durable, smart-lit surfacing. Shaded seating areas, native plantings, permeable paving, and bioretention elements protect the river’s health while keeping the site naturally cool. Thoughtful wayfinding, ADA-compliant routes, and energy-efficient lighting ensure a safe, accessible, and inviting experience for all visitors.
This site provides several notable advantages. Its central location within downtown Reno ensures high public visibility and ease of access from multiple transportation modes, including walking, cycling, and public transit. The site’s adjacency to the Truckee River enhances its aesthetic and recreational value, aligning with the City of Reno’s objective to celebrate and activate the downtown riverfront.
Proximity to existing utilities such as water, sewer, and electrical systems supports efficient integration of new amenities without significant off-site construction.
